Centopietre is an extraordinary Salice Salentino produced by the Petrelli winery starting from grapes grown in the land owned by the company in the countryside of Campi Salentina, in the heart of the Salice Salentino appellation area and rests for 6 months in oak barrels. Wine obtained from a selection of the best Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera di Lecce grapes produced on the farm. A wine that encompasses all the knowledge and wine culture that the ancient land of Salento can express.

The soils from which the grapes come are located at an altitude of about 40 m asl, 40 km from the sea with a medium-textured soil tending to clay, while the training system used is the spurred cordon with a density of equal vines. about 5000 / ha with a final grape yield of 100 quintals. The Malvasia grapes are harvested around the second week of September while those of Negroamaro about ten days later. The vinification process is carried out with a maceration in steel for 10 days. Once the fermentation phase has been completely completed, the wine rests and refines in steel for a few months and then it is transferred and ends its cycle with 6 months in American oak barrels and finally another 2 months in the bottle.

Centopietre is a ruby red wine, intense and delicate. It has aromas of ripe plum, morello cherry and licorice. The flavor is soft, warm and harmonious.

Pairings: the negroamaro “dampened” by the Malvasia Nera di Lecce finds the right combination with savory first courses and meat-based second courses.
