ELEGIA Primitivo di Manduria is produced by the winery of the Consorzio Produttori Vini of Manduria (Taranto_Puglia/Italy).
ELEGIA is a Primitivo produced from grapes harvested by hand from 50-year-old vineyards planted with Apulian saplings located in the same area as Manduria. Red vinification takes place after soft harvesting and crushing of the grapes and subsequent thermo-conditioning of the fermentation process in stainless steel vats. This is followed by aging for 12 months in Allier French barriques.
ELEGIA Primitivo di Manduria with an organoleptic examination has a ruby red color with intense garnet reflections. The aroma is intense and complex, of ripe berries (cherry, raspberry, blackberry) and jam (plum). The spicy hints of vanilla and balsamic notes in the final are clear. On the palate the taste is dry, warm, soft, tannic, persistent, rounded by the gustatory range of toasted notes.
