FIANO Salento PGI kosher for Passover Mevushal Lucio Leuci is the only Fiano wine produced in Salento to boast thanks to the Orthodox Union – Badatz Beit Yosef certification, with the title of יינות כשרים Kosher for Passover.

Kosher wine must comply with the food rules established by the Torah, interpreted by exegesis in the Talmud and codified in the Shulkan Aruk. Kosher foods, however, are not only synonymous with a meal suitable for the consumption of Jewish practitioners, but also with foods considered more reliable, controlled and of better quality.

In fact, Kosher wines are the ideal choice for vegetarians, vegans, for those suffering from food intolerances or for those who simply want to be sure of eating a safe and healthy product. The reason is certainly due to the obligation to use only certified raw materials suitable for quality in the production of kosher wine and the great attention to hygiene and external contamination that constant checks at every stage of the production process guarantee with the final release of the stringent Kosher certification.

FIANO Salento IGP kosher for Passover Mevushal is a wine produced from grapes harvested with manual harvest in the first ten days of September. Then comes the destemming, followed by draining in a soft press with a temperature control of the must at 15 ° C. Fermentation in steel silos follows. Finally, the wine ends its production cycle with the flash pasteurization step at 86 ° C and immediate drop in temperature at 20 ° C, rest and bottling.

This IGP wine is a pale straw yellow wine that has an intense bouquet of fresh fruit on the nose, which has a good body and structure typical of the warm climate of Salento but which can also be absolutely soft and enveloping on the palate. A remarkably balanced and pleasant wine to drink.
