GALATEA Organic Primitivo IGP Salento of the Cantina Fiorentino di Galatina (Lecce_Puglia) is an organic red wine, produced exclusively from primitivo grapes grown in the countryside of Galatina at 75 mt. above sea level. Traditionally, the red wine produced with Primitivo grapes has always been one of the most intichi wines produced in the Ionian area of ​​Salento. For the Salento culture, Primitivo was the wine of the holidays, the best wine to be shared with one’s guests or friends. The soil on which the vine that will then give the bunches to produce this red wine is grown is of medium loose texture. The training system is spurred cordon with a yield of 80 ql per hectare and a total production of about 10,000 bottles/year. The vinification is a red vinification with a maceration and a fermentation at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged in steel and in the bottle.

GALATEA Primitivo Organic IGP Salento is a purple red wine with ruby ​​reflections. The nose is complex and intense, characterized by notes of plum, blackberry, carob and accompanied by floral hints of violets. The taste is warm, soft and enveloping. A balanced and persistent wine with a good structure and a long and never intrusive tannin.
