Melarosa is the first great experiment in sparkling wine made from Negroamaro grapes, a challenge at a time when Salento sparkling were still just an idea. First developed in collaboration with famous Venetian wineries and now 100% vinified and sparkling in the cellars of Cantine due Palme in Cellino San Marco, Melarosa is the rosé sparkling wine par excellence, with a fresh and sparkling taste. These selected Negroamaro grapes are harvested at the end of August, in order to preserve their freshness, vinified in rosé and then with a short contact between peel and pulp, and sparkling with the Charmat method.
Melarosa in the glass expresses aromas are delicate, with fresh scents, fragrant with small red fruits, but also floral of beautiful pleasure. In the mouth it is delicate, soft and balanced, with pleasant freshness and acidity. This sparkling wine goes well with aperitifs and hors d’oeuvres based on typical products of the Salento area such as fresh vegetables and fish.
