Mjere rosato is one of the best rosé wines produced in Salento with the millennial “Lacrima” technique. It is produced from Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera Leccese grapes, cultivated with the traditional alberello system in the most typical area of Salento and precisely in the municipalities of Tuglie, Sannicola, Alezio (LE), on clayey, calcareous soils of medium texture. The grapes are harvested by hand in early September. The vinification takes place through the traditional method “a Lacrima”. The grapes are left to macerate for about 16 to 18 hours depending on the maturation and therefore the color.

At the time of racking only the maximum 25-30% is destined to the production of the “Mjère” Rosato. Exclusively the best part, the limpid one with a coral pink color obtained from the Alzata del Cappello, is used for fermentation at a controlled temperature of about 18 °. The duration of fermentation is about 7-8 days and once completed, the product is transferred to stainless steel tanks and left to rest on its own yeasts, for the right time.

Characterized by an intense and brilliant coral pink color. It has an intense aroma and bouquet, reminiscent of cherries and fresh fruit, Delicato. on the palate it is soft, elegant and of good fruity persistence, sapid. To be served at a temperature of 12-14 ° C. Mjere Rosato is a truly eclectic wine, a rosé that can be paired with both savory and tasty fish-based dishes and meat-based dishes. A wine to drink on everything and above all a wine to drink always, good for any occasion.
