Negroamaro is a wine produced by Masseria Altemura obtained from grapes grown on its estate, which extends within the production area of ​​the Primitivo di Manduria DOC, in the countryside of Santa Susanna, and collects in one place a ancient Masseria of the sixteenth century, the cellar, designed according to the principles of bio-architecture, and the wonderful vineyards that surround it.

The harvest is carried out starting from the third decade of September and the harvested grapes are gently pressed and de-stemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 28 ° -30 ° C for 7 days, followed by a maceration on the skins for about 10 days. The wine ages for 12 months in large Slavonian barrels and ages for a further period in the bottle.

This negroamaro has a beautiful deep ruby ​​red color. Its perfume presents notes of blackberry, cherry and ripe red fruit, followed by a nice spiciness, in which coffee, chocolate and licorice stand out. The flavor is savory and round, balanced and very pleasant. It stands out for its intensity and persistence.

Pairings: Suitable for accompanying grilled red meats including horses, mature, spicy and blue cheeses.
