ORO DI EMÉRA is the Primitivo di Manduria by Claudio Quarta winemaker. A wine produced in the Tenute Eméra in Lizzano right in the middle of the Manduria DOP area.
The vines all with an Apulian sapling 50 years old are cultivated on alluvial soil with a high limestone presence, cultivated at 500-600 meters from the sea and the grapes are harvested manually in wooden crates in the first ten days of September and the yield never exceeds 80 ql/ha.
The vinification takes place in steel at a controlled temperature with the maceration of the skins for 25 days with frequent pumping over. Induced alcohol fermentation with selected yeasts, spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Finally, the wine is aged in oak barrels.
ORO DI EMÉRA is a soft, pleasant, persuasive wine. It gives the nose hints of ripe fruit, such as citrus and cherry. On the palate, it is exuberant and warm with blackberry fruits and a final lingering enveloping sensation. A great wine that enhances the Manduria territory and tradition, but with a touch of character, personality and elegance guaranteed by the hand of Claudio Quarta.
