Flaminio Ottavianello is a wine produced by Agricola Vallone is a rediscovery of a DOC, now become DOP, that is, that of Ostuni and a grape variety, the Ottavianello. The wine is a historical and traditional grape of Salento, which was used much more in the past, but which is now being rediscovered and cultivated to produce round and extremely enjoyable wines like this.

Ottavianello Rosso di Ostuni, shows a kinship with the French Cinsault grape of Provence, and is vinified from grapes grown in the Ostuni territory at an altitude of about 200 to 300 meters above sea level on clayey soils with presence of skeleton. The harvest starts around the last ten days of September, and once de-stemmed the grapes macerate for about 8 days at controlled temperature. The fermentation takes place in steel at around 22 ° C and finally ages in steel and in concrete tanks, to then be aged in the bottle for three months.

In the glass shows a shiny ruby ​​red color. The nose shows hints of fresh and dried fruit such as morello cherry, peach, blood orange, hazelnut and almond. Furthermore, it is possible to identify delicate and floral scents of violets, vegetable essences of myrtle and balsamic hints.
