Story and Winemaking
The PRIMITIVO TERRIBILE is a sought-after wine originating from grapes in the Uggiano Montefusco area (full DOC Manduria zone), grown with the traditional Alberello system on “red earth” soils rich in ferrous minerals. The extremely low yield per vine (about 1 kg) ensures exceptional concentration. After manual harvest and maceration, the wine matures for 9 months in new American oak barriques, which impart elegant spice notes of vanilla and cloves. The subsequent one-year bottle aging consolidates its majestic structure, making it an impetuous red with great aging potential.
