Flaminio Susumaniello of Agricole Vallone is one of the best wines of Salento produced in purity from Susumaniello grapes. The grapes come from the Tenuta Castel Serranova near Carovigno in the province of Brindisi. The south-facing vineyard has a clay-sandy soil, and the vines are raised with the shape of the bilateral spurred cordon. The harvest period is the second decade of September and the harvest is carried out manually and mechanically. The wine is obtained with a soft destemming-crushing, an alcoholic fermentation and post-fermentation maceration at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks for 15 days, followed by a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The refinement is carried out in cement tanks followed by a stay of the bottle in the cellar for 3 months.

The Wine has a very intense ruby red color with bright purple reflections, it has fruity and spicy smells on the nose with light vegetal notes. The flavor is well structured, powerful, sapid, soft to the attack, with an articulated and final progression characterized by soft and enveloping tannins, finally the wine has a long spicy aroma in the mouth.
