TARANTA is a rosé wine produced by the Vetrère winery starting from 100% negroamaro grapes, an ancient Salento vine, which has always been used for the production of rosé wines here in southern Puglia and cultivated in spaliera in the territory of Montemesola in the land owned of the farm at an altitude of 20 meters above sea level
The harvest begins in the third week of September with a mechanical harvest, which is followed by destemming and soft pressing. After the collection of the free-run must, fermentation continues in steel at a controlled temperature, and finally the wine rests permanently on the yeasts for a few months. A static clarification follows and finally the wine ages for another 3 months in the bottle.
This particular wine is presented in the glass with a bright cherry pink color. On the nose it has hints of red fruit and morello cherry, on the palate in evidence freshness and vivacity well calibrated with the right balance between acidity and softness that contributes to making this wine extremely enjoyable and drinkable.
Pairing: Perfect for seafood-based aperitifs, but also excellent with tubettini with grouper sauce or with fried squid.
