TELA DI RAGNO is a red wine 50% Aglianico, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced by the Mocavero Winery from grapes coming from the vineyards located in the municipalities of the province of Lecce (Puglia_Italy).
The soils are of the clayey-calcareous type and the vineyards are bred with the traditional Salento methodology of Alberello Pugliese. The grapes are harvested by hand in the third decade of September for the Cabernet, and towards the beginning of October for the Aglianico grapes. The harvest, carried out by hand, is followed by a selection of the best bunches and only then is the vinification in red with temperature control. Maceration lasts the entire alcoholic fermentation; when the latter is finished, the wine is separated from the marc. After pressing, the wine is aged in new barrels and tonneaux for 12 months, periodically batonagge and then continues to refine for at least 6 months in the bottle.
TELA DI RAGNO has an intense red colour with purple reflections. The aroma is intense, persistent, spicy and well balanced. It has a rightly tannic, persistent and harmonious warm taste. It is an elegant and precious wine to drink for special occasions. A wine that represents all the strength of the land and the sun of the Salento wisely measured in a balanced structure, soft but that retains a strong personality.
