Insured Shipping
All our wines will be transported in suitable packaging and at the customer’s request they will be covered by an insurance policy which protects the customer in case of breakage, theft or loss during the transport of the order, with a minimum additional cost. for the buyer.
Packaging
For transport, we use exclusively “shockproof” packaging which guarantees maximum safety in the event of accidental bumps and falls, but which at the same time guarantees excellent protection against thermal shocks.
Delivery times
The products are entrusted to the courier within 48 hours following the order (excluding Saturdays and Sundays), orders for available products received by 10.00 am will be entrusted to the courier on the same day. The products are delivered within 24 / 48h, following the order fulfillment, throughout Italy and within 72h in case of shipping to the islands. National shipments are made by express courier GLS For U.E. the delivery of the goods is made within 3 days / 5 days. working after the order has been processed. The U.E. they are made via the express courier DHL . There may be delivery delays due to bad weather, strikes and uncomfortable delivery areas.
Inventories
Any costs arising from long storage at the courier’s depot due to failure to collect or return the goods, and the costs resulting from the return and / or destruction of the goods will all be borne by the buyer.
Customer Service
You will be kept up to date throughout the duration of the transaction. From the moment the product is sent, you will receive a product tracking code and web address where you can track your shipment online.
Uninsured Shipping
In the event that the wine is stolen or lost as a result of theft or fire or damaged during uninsured shipping, Salentowineshop will fully refund the customer unless otherwise stated in the contractual conditions of the express courier service.

UK DELIVERY SERVICE AND COSTS
With the exit of Great Britain from the European Union starting from 1 January 2021, excise duties and VAT will have to be paid to the UK customs. The cost of the bottle for UK customers is exempt from Italian VAT and therefore the 20% VAT on wine will be paid directly during the customs clearance procedure. The entire Customs clearance procedure will be handled by our partner DHL. Once the customs clearance has been carried out, the customer will receive an email from DHL in which all costs due to excise and custom duty are calculated. Thanks to DHL, the customer can make the online payment and as soon as he has made the payment, DHL will proceed with the delivery of the bottles of wine.
The costs of new shipping costs valid from 1st January 2021 to ship our wine bottles to Great Britain are listed below in sterling and already include VAT.
DELIVERY SERVICE AND COSTS FOR SWITZERLAND
For shipments carried out in Swiss territory, in addition to the shipping costs, the costs of managing the customs procedure by the express courier plus duties, customs excise duties plus TVA (Value Added Tax) calculated on the value of the goods plus duties.

For shipments to Japan the maximum that the customer can buy is 12 bottles. Shipping costs in Yen are listed below. Shipping costs include all customs clearance, taxes and duty fees.
Refused & return to sender packages that are not received due to negligence on the part of the recipient due to the following reasons;
Incorrect & invalid shipping information (e.g wrong delivery address, wrong contact number)
Refusal to pay import duties when requested by customs
Refusal to provide local customs assistance in providing information
Refusal to collect shipment at designated collection points (for addresses where couriers cannot redeliver to)
These are refunded only once when the shipment is received back in our warehouse, less the cost of shipping to and from the destination country, as well as any applicable duties and taxes, or when the return costs are higher than the value of the goods.
