Cantina Carrozzo is located in the small village of Magliano, in the municipality of Carmiano (Lecce_Puglia/Italy).
Its history dates back to the 1970s. Exactly in 1978 Luigina Sozzo brought as a dowry to her husband, Pino Carrozzo, the family vineyard composed of Negroamaro saplings. The two founded their own union on a life project closely linked to the beloved land of Salento. A small heritage consisting of 11 hectares of vineyards that are the basis of the current production of the Carrozzo winery.
The Carrozzo family has been producing wine for four generations. The winery continues to be faithful to a peasant culture that sees the earth as a precious asset and a primary source of sustenance. He has therefore developed and maintained over time respect for his almost mystical saplings.
The current Carrozzo Winery is founded in 2001 as a company that starts bottling and marketing its wines. Before that date, the excellent grapes of the family lands produced wine sold in bulk.
Today, this small family-run business (without using a sales network or consulting with an oenologist) manages to sell around 60,000 bottles in a year.
