Cantina Sampietrana was born on April 21, 1952: a story of tradition, passion and a strong bond with the land.
The winery comes to life from the initiative of a group of direct winemakers, sharecroppers, settlers and owners, united by a common desire: to transform the grapes grown in the vineyards into their own business, placing the wine produced in the area on the market.
Built a few meters from the railway, in order to facilitate the transport of wines to northern Italy and Europe, the winery is still located today in the same building located in the historic center of San Pietro Vernotico, a town located halfway between Brindisi and Lecce.
