Tenute Perrone was born in the heart of Salento, in Campi Salentina, one of the most suitable areas for the production of Negroamaro grapes in 1926. The founder Renato Perrone, created one of the first private family-run companies in the whole area capable of producing excellent wines. Negroamaro base that were wisely cultivated in the vineyards owned by the family.

Renato immediately realized in a territory that always produced cutting wine and bulk wine for the local population that the most convenient and innovative way to market even outside the normal boundaries its product was to bottle it and in fact in 1958 it became the first bottler at Campi Salentina. Even today you can see the very first vintage 1958 bottles jealously kept in the current cellar.

Today the family-run company has reached the third generation and is managed with a particular attention to tradition but with the use of innovative technologies by Luca his nephew. Since he was 18 years old Luca has always dealt with the management of the vineyards and olive groves of the company and today he directly takes care of its transformation into final products
