History and Winemaking

The “Sonetto” is a tribute to the tradition of Primitivo di Manduria. Grapes come from ancient bush vines, ensuring exceptional concentration. Manual harvesting takes place in the **second week of September**. Maceration and fermentation last about **6-7 days** at a controlled temperature. The wine is then aged for an exceptionally long period of **24 months in French oak barriques** before bottling without filtration.

Organoleptic Profile

Appearance: **Deep ruby red** color.

Nose: **Mature and intense** aroma with clear scents of **blackberries and ripe plums**, a hint of smoke, and spicy notes of **tobacco and leather**.

Palate: **Clean and elastic**, with a **rich taste of dark, ripe fruits** and **enveloping tannins**. It is well-balanced, clean on the palate, and has **good length**. Its complexity is derived from the long time spent in oak.
