History and Production

Patriglione takes its name from the district (*Contrada*) where the highly prized Negroamaro vineyards are planted. This multi-award-winning wine is made from a **late harvest**, with a few bunches left to wither on the **approximate 80-year-old bush vines** (*alberello*). Born from the intuition of Cosimo Taurino, it is considered the highest expression of Negroamaro and played a fundamental role in the history of viticulture in Southern Italy, proving that great red wines of significant **complexity, gustatory dynamic, and harmony** could be produced in the South.
