History and Winemaking
The Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes come from very old **Apulian bush vines (alberello) over 50 years old** grown in the Nardò area. Harvesting is manual and selective, with grapes placed in ventilated crates and further selected on a sorting table. After vinification at controlled temperature and blending, the wine is aged for **8 months in medium-toasted French oak tonneaux**. This period in wood imparts structure and spicy notes. The process concludes with **10 months of further bottle aging**.
