History and Production

Melarosa represents the first major “experiment” in sparkling Negroamaro in Salento. The grapes are harvested early to ensure an ideal acid base for sparkling wine. Rosé vinification, with limited skin contact, imparts the delicate color and aromas of small red fruits. The secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized tanks (Charmat Method), which enhances the Negroamaro’s freshness, fragrance, and fruity character. It is the perfect sparkling wine for the Salento aperitivo.
