History and Production
Venus Rosato Conti Zecca is produced from Negroamaro grapes grown with the spurred cordon system in the municipalities of Leverano and Salice Salentino. The key to achieving its typical color and aroma is the brief **maceration of about 12 hours** (“a lacrima” or tear-drop vinification). After drawing off, the fermentation of the free-run must takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel. Aging in concrete tanks helps maintain the freshness and elegance of the aromatic profile.
