The red earth rich in iron oxide which gives it its classic rust red color is one of the secrets of this Primitivo di Manduria DOP produced by the Agricola Felline winery. Plants older than 30 years grown with the traditional and ancient Apulian sapling system offer with the complicity of the characteristic Gulf of Taranto climate all the strength and expressive power of this red wine. The grapes are generally harvested in the middle of September, giving them a very light over-ripening of those days as required by the specification of the DOP Manduria, and this combined with the characteristic aromatic quality of the vine gives a powerful and warm wine, but which also knows how to be balanced and easy to sip.

In a glass of this primitive we find all the wisdom and typicality of one of the now classic great red wines produced in Puglia and to be precise in Salento.

Aging in French oak barrels combined with the organoleptic characteristics of the wine give the nose notes of ripe cherry, red fruit and strawberry jam, adding a slight persistent finish due to the soft tannins extracted from the barrique.
