Story and Winemaking

This Primitivo is born from Manduria’s red soil, whose color is due to the high iron oxide content. The old vines, trained on the alberello system, benefit from the unique climate of the Gulf of Taranto, contributing to their expressive power. The mid-September harvest allows for a slight overripening of the grapes, as required by the regulations, concentrating the aromas. Aging in French oak barriques softens the tannins and adds an elegant and persistent finish, typical of great Apulian red wines.
