Wine History and Character

NEGROAMARO Rosato is an authentic expression of the Guagnano area, in the heart of Salento. The grapes, harvested in the second half of September, undergo a 12-14 hour maceration, a meticulous process that extracts the right color and the delicate yet decisive aromas typical of the varietal. The must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, ensuring the freshness and liveliness of its character. The final aging in steel preserves its aromatic elegance and clean taste.

Curiosities about Negroamaro

The name of the “Negroamaro” grape variety comes from the Latin *niger* and the Greek *mavros*, both terms meaning “black.” This refers to the dark and intense color of the grape, which has made Negroamaro one of the most recognizable and historical grape varieties in Southern Italy. Its cultivation in Puglia dates back to the 6th century B.C., and today it is an undisputed symbol of Puglian wine.
